About the speaker

"Changing the world, one neighborhood at a time," is a mission for our community and also for this year's speaker Curtiss Paul DeYoung. Dr. DeYoung is the executive director of Community Renewal Society, a faith-based civil rights organization in Chicago, working for systemic racial and economic justice. He has served in academic and community work for over thirty year, is an ordained minister, and is an author and editor of ten books on reconciliation, multiracial congregations, racism and cultural diversity.
