Get a great introduction into sports with our instructional sports classes. We offer traditional and alternative sports to interest a wide variety of athletes. Offerings change with the seasons.

Lil' Tykes Sports

Ages Class duration
2 to 3, children must be 2 by the first day of class 45 minutes

This is a parent/child class. Parents must participate.

This program has been designed to offer young children a variety of fun physical activities, introducing them to yoga, basic sports skills and movement. The Lil' Tykes program uses a sports-sampler format (examples: soccer, basketball, football, hockey, t-ball) and combines positive social interaction with the teaching of large motor and sports skills as an effective way to introduce children to an active, healthy lifestyle.

Tiny Tots Sports

Ages Class duration
3 to 4, children must be 3 by the first day of class 45 minutes

Tiny Tot Sports is designed to provide boys and girls ages 3 to 4 with a positive introduction to sports in a fun social setting. The goal of each program is to introduce skills and movements in a fun, basic, and progressive manner for an active healthy lifestyle. Children enjoy the following sequence of activities each week: warm up, sports skills, preschool games like Red Light, Green Light, ending the class with the ever popular parachute. All Tiny Tots receive a t-shirt and a keepsake. Fall Session classes include a sampler: basketball, soccer, T-ball, floor hockey, yoga, tennis, disc golf and parent/variety day–you never know what you’ll get!


Peewee sports: basketball or soccer

Ages Class duration
4 to 5, children must be 4 by the last day of class 45 minutes

Designed especially for the young child as a positive introductory experience to sports. Boys and girls learn basic skills and rules with low-key games that allow them to have fun, be active, socialize and learn sportsmanship. Equipment and playing surfaces are modified to allow children to have immediate success and learn skills quickly.

Peewee gymnastics

Ages Class duration
3 to 6 50 minutes

Beginning-level students will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of gymnastics. This includes the beam, floor, mini tramp, and more! This class will focus on fun and allow new students the opportunity to explore their skills with expert staff.


Our expert instructors are trained by John Tobler, a 3-time National Gymnastics Champion and 3-time All-American Gymnast.

Peewee tennis

Ages Class duration
5 to 7 45 minutes

Peewee tennis is the latest in comprehensive tennis programs, designed to introduce young players to the game in a fun and rewarding way. Equipment and court size has been modified to allow children to learn the sport quickly and develop skills.

Your child will have fun working on the fundamentals of basketball in this one-hour class as well as playing in game situations.

From beginner to intermediate, coaches work with students to assist in improving skills and working with others to ensure that students not only become better gymnasts but, along the way, increase their self esteem and self confidence. Students are assigned to groups and stations that reflect their ages and abilities.

Youth indoor tennis

Ages Class duration
8 to 12 45 minutes

This tennis program teaches basic skills, strategies and court etiquette.

Learn to play volleyball!

Grades Class duration
3 to 8 90 minutes

This program is designed for girls and boys who are in grades 3 to 8. Park Center coach Michelle Chen and her players will introduce volleyball fundamentals of ball handling, hitting, footwork, offensive and defensive strategies. Younger players will be taught using a Volleylite ball and will play on a lowered junior height net. Players will also participate in fun games, scrimmages and contests at the end of each class. Players will need to wear tennis shoes, active clothing, and have a water bottle. Knee pads are optional, but not needed.

Park Center fastpitch softball fall clinic

Grades Class duration
3 to 6 5 hours

The Park Center Softball Team invites girls, grades 3 to 6 to participate in their First Annual Softball Clinic.

Session is filled with skills and drills to enhance knowledge of the game, learn proper fundamentals, and develop strong mechanics. Clinics offer the opportunity to work closely with high school coaches and athletes to learn hitting, fielding, catching, base running, throwing and strategy. No pitching at this clinic.

Sharpen your skills and learn new skills while attending this clinic; 100% hands on the entire time. Instruction will occur while going through drills and learning by doing each skill. A scrimmage will be at the end of the clinic.

Bring: bat, softball glove, softball practice clothes, sneakers and cleats, catchers bring gear (if available), as well as a lunch, water bottle and a great attitude.

Cheer America

Ages Class duration
4 to 14 45 minutes

Students will learn popular cheer, chants, choreographed dance and pom-pom routines, parade marching, techniques and other performance skills. At the conclusion of each session, students perform a group recital for family and friends. All students receive certificates and medals for participation in the program.

Safety awareness and self defense

American Kenpo Karate

Ages Class duration
5 through adult 45 minutes

American Kenpo Karate is designed to enhance self-esteem, self-discipline and safety awareness for all ages, from 5 through adult. Students are placed into classes according to age ability and can progress to yellow belt or higher. Self-discipline and self-defense, rather than aggressiveness are promoted.

Students should wear shorts or sweat pants and a t-shirt. Uniforms are optional, come with a belt, and are available at the first class and throughout the course for $30.


A black belt instructor teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced techniques.
