Presented by Marit Anne Peterson, program director for MN Elder Justice Center
As our communities grow older, it is important to consider the best ways to keep ourselves and our friends, family members and neighbors safe from abuse, neglect and financial exploitation. Unfortunately, these crimes affect all Minnesotans and often go unreported by victims.
This session will teach how to recognize when abuse or exploitation may be taking place, discuss warning signs of abuse, neglect and financial exploitation, and will discuss what to do if you or someone you know may be experiencing abuse or exploitation.
In addition, participants will explore strategies to prevent abuse, neglect and financial exploitation, and learn about resources available to those who would like to learn or do more!
