April 14, 2021 2:30 p.m.

Mayor Pro Tempore Tonja West-Hafner issued a temporary curfew in the city of Brooklyn Park. The curfew is in effect from Wednesday, April 14, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 15.

During the curfew, you cannot travel on any public street or in any public place. There are exceptions for the curfew:

Those attending religious services
Those experiencing homelessness
People fleeing dangerous situations
Those traveling to and from work
Those seeking medical care, including COVID testing and vaccinations

Mayor Pro Tempore Tonja West-Hafner issued a temporary curfew in the city of Brooklyn Park. The curfew begins Tuesday, April 13, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14. During the curfew, you cannot travel on any public street or in any public place. With today’s Special Election for the Mayoral candidates and many in our community attending religious services, there are exceptions for the curfew:

Voters
Poll Workers
Those attending religious services
Those experiencing homelessness
People fleeing dangerous situations
Those traveling to and from work
Those seeking medical care, including COVID testing and vaccinations

April 13, 2021 7:00 a.m.

Polls are open for today’s Special Primary Election until 8 p.m. Visit the city’s voting page for more information.

April 12, 2021 7:00 p.m.

A local emergency has been declared and a city-wide curfew has been imposed from 7 p.m. on Monday April 12, 2021 through 6 a.m. on Tuesday April 13, 2021.

During the curfew, you must not travel on any public street or in any public place. The curfew includes exemptions for:

  • Members of the press
  • Law enforcement
  • Emergency responders
  • Those traveling to and from work
  • Those seeking medical care, including COVID testing and vaccinations
  • Those attending religious services
